Bones Bones Bones

I love using bones in my work to create unique pieces. A lovely way to incorporate and repurpose nature. I find beauty in bringing life back into what no longer is.

All of my bones are ethically sourced. As a landscaper and explorer, I often find bones on my adventures. I take the time to clean them to be presentable and usable.

About Me!

Hi, I'm Nola!

I am a full-time landscaper in the Summer and work at a local plant store during the colder months. I dedicate my time to learning about and loving nature.

Apart from making jewelry, I love to explore outside. I enjoy walking through nature and finding abandoned locations. It sparks much creativity in me and fills me with ideas for what to create next.

My Start

Crafts have always played a big part in my life. My mother passed down her beautiful bead collection to me when I was young. Sparking much creativity in me to create my own pieces with the resources she provided me.

I've found a wholesome community of other crafters. I enjoy hosting craft nights and bonding with others at craft stores and markets.

Making jewelry, along with other crafts, has taught me to be patient with myself. It has allowed my creativity to blossom and taught me to appreciate all other artists.

Materials

Second hand is the way to go!

I love a good hunt in thrift stores, finding materials for all sorts of projects. Repurposing old jewelry, finding beads, turning something unusual into art.

As a landscaper and explorer, I discover objects in nature that I can use. My favorite being bones! Some projects with nature I've used are:

Using tossed-out bamboo to make planters. Scavenging for blue quartz to tumble and use for jewelry. Finding sticks, pinecones, and other objects to turn into decor.
